Credit rating agency Standard and Poor's (S P) has reaffirmed credit rating for Malta as A- on Friday.

Malta's strong growth performance, reduction in government deficits and improved fiscal management led the rating agency's to keep the country within its A- bracket.

S P said Malta's outlook remained stable, with the country's economic performance counterbalanced by risks related to service exports and potential Brexit fallout.

It also noted that Malta's macroeconomic growth was generally higher than the Eurozone average, predicting a GDP growth of 3.3 percent in the coming three years.

Although the Brexit fallout could affect Malta, S P believes the country appears to be "generally well-placed to withstand Brexit shocks".
