Investors are starting to get confident in the situation in Brazil again, President Michel Temer said on Monday.
In a meeting with visiting Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, President Temer underlined the importance of the reforms his administration has been pushing forward and expressed confidence in the reforms aimed at boosting investors' confidence.
Temer said trade is the core of bilateral agenda and the role of Spanish investors in Brazil is "expressive."
The meeting was part of Rajoy's two-day official visit to Brazil.
The two leaders also signed agreements on some sectors and discussed bilateral ties.
The reforms in social security and labor regulation which the Temer administration has been carrying forward are facing strong opposition inside the country.
The reform bill is expected to be voted on in Congress in the next few weeks.
"We are carrying on reforms through dialogues. I think businessmen can attest to this better than I can, and that the investor and consumer confidence is returning," Temer said.
