Singapore's non-oil exports declined 1.2 percent year on year in May for a second straight month, according to data released by International Enterprise Singapore on Friday.

The exports fell 0.8 percent year on year in April, following continued strong growth in a straight five months.

On a month-on-month and seasonally adjusted basis, the exports grew 8.1 percent in May, as against a nine percent decrease in April, due to the increase in both electronic and non-electronic exports.

Shipments to all of Singapore's top 10 markets, except for China's Hong Kong, rose in May.

As Singapore's largest single market, shipments to China increased 36.4 percent year on year, higher than a 10.9 percent growth in April.
