The Belarusian National Bank decided to reduce the refinancing rate from 12 percent to 11.5 percent per annum on September 13, 2017, the country's central bank said on Wednesday.
The interest rates on standing and bilateral transactions designed to maintain the current liquidity of banks will be reduced from 14 percent to 13 percent per annum.
The bank attributed the reduction in rates with the decrease in actual inflation. The regulator notes that annual inflation is expected to be within 7 percent.
This is the seventh cut in refinancing rates since the start of 2017.
