Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said his country has become an important player on the European air transport market, the Ukrainian government press service said on Tuesday.
In the first nine months of 2018, Ukrainian air carriers increased their passenger traffic by 15.5 percent to 9.5 million people, said a statement on the government website.
The government expects the number of air passengers in Ukraine will continue to rise in the future, the statement said.
Last year, Ukrainian air carriers served 10.6 million passengers, up 27.5 percent from 2016.
