Japan posts goods trade deficit of 3.98 bln USD in Oct.

Japan logged a goods trade deficit of 449.3 billion yen (3.98 billion U.S. dollars) in October, the Finance Ministry said in a report Monday.

According to the ministry's preliminary report, exports increased 8.2 percent from a year earlier.

Imports, meanwhile, rose 19.9 percent in the recording period, the ministry's data showed.
