Taiwan's industrial production index rose 2.09 percent year-on-year to 111.3 in November, according to the island's economic affairs authority Monday.
The sub-index for the manufacturing sector climbed 2.23 percent year-on-year to 112.55 in November, registering 29 consecutive monthly increases.
The production index for electronic components, the most heavily weighted in the manufacturing sector, increased by 1.99 percent compared with the same period last year.
In the previous 11 months, industrial production index went up 4.1 percent year-on-year, with the manufacturing sub-index went up 4.42 percent.
However, the manufacturing production momentum is likely to be subdued in the future because of weak sales of electronics and slow global growth.
