DPRK top leader leaves for Russia, talks with Putin expected

PYONGYANG, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un left for Russia on a private train at dawn on Wednesday, state media Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.

Kim was accompanied by senior party, state and military officials.

During the visit, which is at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kim will have talks with the Russian president, according to a KCNA report Tuesday.
