WASHINGTON, July 28 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. public remains deeply partisan on views of the U.S. economy, with Republicans more likely to hold positive opinions, a new Pew poll has showed.

According to the poll released recently, almost eight in ten Republicans and Republican leaners rate the U.S. economy as excellent or good, while only 33 percent Democrats and Democratic leaners say economic conditions are excellent or good.

Public views are also divided by partisanship on U.S. President Donald Trump's performance on economic policies, the poll found.

Some 79 percent of Republicans polled believe that the Trump administration's economic policies have made the economy better, in contrast to just 13 percent of Democrats saying so.
