In September alone, Vietnam raked in 5.2 billion U.S. dollars from selling the products overseas, up 2.3 percent on-year.
The country also spent roughly 10.7 billion U.S. dollars importing phones and their components in the nine-month period, down 2.9 percent.
In 2018, phones and components were Vietnam's biggest foreign currency earner, with turnovers of more than 50 billion U.S. dollars, increasing 10.5 percent and accounting for over 20 percent of its total export revenue, said the office.
