SEOUL, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) - South Korea's industrial output fell in October, with both investment and consumption on the decline, a government report showed Friday.

The seasonally-adjusted production in all industries, which exclude the agricultural, forestry and fishery sector, shed 0.4 percent in October from a month earlier, according to Statistics Korea.

The industrial production kept sliding for the second straight month amid the continued export fall hitting hard the manufacturing industry.

Retail sale, which reflects private consumption, diminished 0.5 percent in the cited month, continuing to retreat for the second consecutive month.

Facility investment reduced 0.8 percent in October from a month earlier, turning downward in five months.
