SEOUL, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- South Korea's export volume fell for seven straight months through November amid the global economic slowdown, central bank data showed Friday.

In terms of volume, the outbound shipment reduced 2.7 percent in November from a year ago, keeping a downward momentum for the seventh consecutive month, according to the Bank of Korea (BOK).

The falling pace slowed from a 4.6 percent decline in October, but the export slide continued on the global economic slump and the downturn of the global semiconductor industry.

Export volume for computer, electronic and optical devices slipped 1.3 percent in the month, with those for electric installations and transport equipment skidding 7.8 percent and 2.9 percent each.

The export value tumbled 12.4 percent in November from a year earlier, continuing to dive for 12 months in a row.

In terms of volume, import shrank 4.2 percent in the month. The import value plummeted in double figures for two straight months through November.
