The producer price index (PPI) gained 0.3 percent in December from a month earlier, marking the first rebound in three months, according to the Bank of Korea (BOK).
It was attributable to expensive farm goods. The price for agricultural, livestock and fishery products advanced 4.0 percent last month.
Price for industrial products added 0.2 percent in the month on higher crude oil price.
The services price was unchanged in December from a month earlier.
From a year earlier, the PPI climbed 0.7 percent in December.
