The most active gold contract for June 2020 delivery was down 6.04 yuan (about 85 U.S. cents) to close at 358.62 yuan a gram.
The total trading volume for eight listed gold futures contracts on the exchange was 106,609 lots, with a turnover of about 38.18 billion yuan.
