WELLINGTON, April 29 (Xinhua) -- New Zealand reported two new confirmed COVID-19 cases and one probable case over the past 24 hours, with the total number of infections being 1,474 in the country, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday.

The country moved from Alert Level 4 to Alert Level 3 on Tuesday and will stay for at least two weeks at Level 3 before a further review and Alert Level decision on May 11.

There is no more death reported as the COVID-19 death toll remained at 19 in the country, Director-General of Health Ashley Bloomfield told a press conference.

Six people with COVID-19 are in hospitals but none of them are in ICU, Bloomfield said, adding 2,637 tests were conducted on Tuesday.

He said 1,229 people have recovered from the virus.
