Vietnam's electronic goods, computer, component export rise in H1

HANOI, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam earned roughly 19.3 billion U.S. dollars from exporting electronic goods, computers and components in the first six months of this year, posting a year-on-year increase of 24.2 percent, according to the General Statistics Office on Monday.

In June alone, Vietnam fetched nearly 3.8 billion U.S. dollars from selling the products overseas, up 26.6 percent against the same period last year.

Between January and June, Vietnam spent over 27 billion U.S. dollars importing electronic goods, computers and components, seeing a year-on-year increase of 13.3 percent.

In 2019, Vietnam earned roughly 35.6 billion U.S. dollars from exporting electronic goods, computers and components, up 20.4 percent against the previous year, according to the office.
