Aussie dollar falls to one-month low against greenback

SYDNEY, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- The Australian dollar tumbled against the U.S. dollar for the third day in roll Wednesday as the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) said Australia's recovery will not be rapid and balanced.

At 07:00 (AEST), the Australian dollar was buying 71.68 U.S. cents, down from 72.25 U.S. cents on Tuesday.

The Aussie was trading at around 71.60 U.S. cents on Wednesday morning after briefly dropped to 71.55 U.S. cents, which is a 4-week low.

" AUD/USD underperformed the G10, falling from 0.7230 to 0.7155 – a one-month low," Westpac Bank economists said in a morning note.

At 09:00 (AEST), the local unit was buying 71.69 U.S. cents.
