Aussie dollar rebounds to finish week flat

SYDNEY, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- The Australian dollar rebounded on Friday, following a brief dip the day before, to finish the week close to flat.

At 07:00 (AEST), the Australian dollar was buying 71.65 U.S. cents, up from 71.38 U.S. cents on Thursday.

"The Australian Dollar is virtually unchanged against the U.S. Dollar this week with Aussie carving a well-defined weekly / October opening-range just below trend resistance," Daily FX strategist Michael Boustros said.

At 09:30 (AEST), the local unit was buying 71.75 U.S. cents.
