SEOUL, April 21 (Xinhua) -- Price for goods and services among South Korean suppliers kept rising for five straight months in March due to higher global price for crude oil, central bank data showed Wednesday.

The producer price index (PPI) stood at 106.85 in March, up 0.9 percent from the previous month, according to the Bank of Korea (BOK).

The index continued to increase since November last year on the back of expensive crude oil.

Producer price for industrial products gained 1.6 percent in March from a month ago. Prices for diesel and gasoline jumped 10.8 percent and 12.8 percent each.

Services price among suppliers added 0.1 percent last month on a monthly basis.

Price for agricultural, livestock and fishery products fell 0.1 percent owing to lower price for agricultural products.

Prices for green chili pepper and strawberry tumbled in double figures, but those for pork and anchovy advanced in double digits.
