The number of foreign vehicles sold here was 25,578 in April, up 11.5 percent from a year earlier, according to the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association (KAIDA).
The double-digit increase was attributed to strong demand for German models.
German automaker Mercedes-Benz ranked first in terms of automotive sale here, with the sale of 8,430 vehicles. It was followed by BMW with 6,113 vehicles and Audi with 1,320 units each.
For the first four months of this year, a total of 97,486 foreign vehicles were sold here, up 25.6 percent compared to the same period of last year.
