Singapore's non-oil demestic exports grow by 9 pct in June

SINGAPORE, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's non-oil domestic exports (NODX) rose by 9 percent year-on-year in June, following the 12-percent growth in May, government agency Enterprise Singapore said on Monday.

It is the 19th consecutive month for Singapore's NODX to see year-on-year growth.

In a breakdown, the electronic NODX increased by 4.1 percent year-on-year in June, following the 12.9-percent increase in May. The non-electronic NODX grew by 10.6 percent year-on-year in June, compared to the 11.7-percent rise in the previous month.

On a month-on-month seasonally adjusted basis, Singapore's NODX increased by 3.7 percent in June to 17.7 billion Singapore dollars (about 12.67 billion U.S. dollars), after the previous month's 2.8-percent growth.

Singapore's non-oil re-exports (NORX) grew by 31.4 percent year-on-year this June, following the 19.2-percent growth in the previous month. Both electronic and non-electronic NORX grew.

Singapore's oil domestic exports expanded by 66.2 percent year-on-year in June, extending the 86.4-percent growth in May.
