Under the theme "Intelligent Investment for Sustainable Development," the three-day event was organized by the Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA) and inaugurated by Prime Minister Najla Bouden Romdhane.
"SIAT 2022 offers farmers and investors an opportunity to exhibit their new technologies and learn about the opportunities available for the promotion of agricultural production," APIA's Director General Inji Douggui was quoted as saying by Tunis Afrique Presse.
More than 200 exhibitors will participate in this year's edition, according Douggui.
So far this year, investments in Tunisia's agricultural sector have exceeded 400 million Tunisian dinars (122 million U.S. dollars), representing an increase of 30 percent year on year, Douggui said.
