Brazil's vehicle output rises 15.1 pct in October year-on-year

SAO PAULO, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian vehicle factories produced 206 million units in October compared to 178 million in the same month of 2021, up 15.1 percent, the National Association of Automotive Vehicle Manufacturers (Anfavea) reported Tuesday.

Compared to September, vehicle production fell by 0.8 percent.

During the first ten months of this year, the leading Latin American economy saw its auto production grow by 7.1 percent.

In addition, vehicle exports saw a 43.5-percent jump in October compared to the same month last year, with 42 million units shipped abroad, said Marcio de Lima Leite, president of Anfavea.

Meanwhile, in the first three quarters of this year, 406 million units were shipped abroad, up 32.4 percent year-on-year.
