SINGAPORE, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Data from Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) on Monday revealed that Singapore experienced a more pronounced decline in its key exports in June, marking the ninth consecutive month of contraction.

On a year-on-year basis, non-oil domestic exports (NODX) contracted by 15.5 percent in June 2023, extending the 14.8 percent decrease in the previous month. Both electronics and non-electronics declined.

NODX posted a decrease in June 2023 mainly in Malaysia, Indonesia and South Korea, but the figure for the Chinese mainland and China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region rose.

In real terms after adjusting for inflation, NODX decreased by 9 percent following the 7.8 percent fall in May, EnterpriseSG said.

On a month-on-month seasonally adjusted basis, NODX registered a growth of 5.4 percent in June 2023, reaching 14.5 billion Singapore dollars after the previous month's 14.6 percent decline. Both electronic and non-electronic domestic exports increased. (1 Singapore dollar equals 0.76 U.S. dollar)
