The lab, part of a national program for artificial intelligence (AI), will be set up with an investment of up to 30 million shekels (8 million U.S. dollars).
According to the statement, the lab will apply an array of cutting-edge computing, communication, and storage devices provided by globally renowned tech giants.
It will cater to hi-tech companies and researchers across Israel to address technological advancements in data processing demand for AI computation, high-performance computing, data centers, and processing units.
Services to be provided by the lab include integration and programming tests for products, targeted R&D, collaborations between companies and academia, expert consultation, and training.
The building and operation of the lab will be led by the Israeli company NextSilicon, which develops sophisticated processing technologies that can rapidly enhance computing applications while optimizing energy efficiency to the fullest extent.
