Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices edged up on Wednesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for February delivery went up 28 cents, or 0.38 percent, to settle at 74.22 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for February delivery gained 47 cents, or 0.59 percent, to settle at 79.7 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
