Myanmar exports over 87,800 tons of fish in April-July

YANGON, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar exported over 87,800 tons of fish in the period from April to July, earning over 98 million U.S. dollars, the state-run media the Global New Light of Myanmar reported on Wednesday.

The Southeast Asian country exported fish worth 65.75 million U.S. dollars by sea and 32.736 million dollars by land borders.

The exports included more than 20 fish species, including hilsa, rohu, catfish, and seabass, the report said, citing the Myanmar Fisheries Federation.

Myanmar exports fishery products to over 40 countries, mainly to Thailand and China, it added.
