Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, May 20 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices inched down on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate for June delivery dropped 26 cents, or 0.32 percent, to settle at 79.8 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for July delivery decreased by 27 cents, or 0.32 percent, to settle at 83.71 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
