HANOI, June 4 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's stock market might face risks from non-traditional security issues such as transnational crimes and cybercrimes which can have a significant impact on the market operations, Vietnam News reported Tuesday, citing experts.

Pham Hong Son, vice chairman of the State Securities Commission, said non-traditional security challenges like transnational or high-tech crimes could have a widespread impact on Vietnam's stock market operations.

The commission recently issued alerts to securities companies and fund management firms regarding the security of online trading systems. These communications emphasized the need to strengthen reviews and ensure information security in stock trading activities, he said.

Bui Hoang Hai, another vice chairman of the State Securities Commission, suggested that securities companies raise awareness of non-traditional security issues within their organizations and enhance security, safety and system protections. These measures aim to minimize market risks and ensure the sustainability of market operations.
