Singapore receives over 8 mln visitors in H1

SINGAPORE, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Singapore recorded 8.24 million visitor arrivals in the first half of this year, about 88 percent of the pre-pandemic level in 2019, according to the latest statistics released by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).

The Chinese mainland was Singapore's largest visitor source from January to June, with 1.45 million travelers, followed by Indonesia, India, Malaysia, and Australia.

The city-state received 1.25 million visitors in June, up 10.7 percent year-on-year.

The STB estimated international visitor arrivals to reach 15 million to 16 million this year.
