This has demonstrated the sector's efforts in concretizing the government's credit goal of 5-6 percent to the end of the second quarter, said the report.
The country's credit by the end of June 2024 increased by about 6 percent compared to the beginning of the year, reaching nearly 14.4 quadrillion dong (566.9 billion dollars), according to the central bank.
Experts said it was a positive signal showing this year's credit growth target of 14-15 percent is within reach.
The central bank also showed that the loans that credit institutions provided to the economy in the first half of 2024 were at the highest level compared to the same period in the past three years.
