Clean energy is expected to play a major part in China's 2016-2020 social and economic development as an inevitable measure to tackle environmental issues during economic development, said Qin Haiyan, secretary general of China Wind Energy Association.
The Suggestion on formulating China's Thirteenth Five-Year Plan (2016-2020) has clearly put up to promote green and low-carbon production and lifestyle, enormously enhance energy resource development and utilization rate, and effectively control energy and water consumption, land use, and total carbon emission.
Meanwhile, as a new pillar for economic growth, developing clean energy would revitalize traditional manufacturing industry and create a bunch of emerging industries with high added value, such as big data and softwares, said Qin.
