Northwest China's Shaanxi province has released its proposal to the 13th Five-year Plan (2016-2020) on its official website last Friday.
According to the proposal, Shaanxi province is planning to maintain medium-high rate economic growth with per capita GDP over 10,000 US dollars and urbanization rate over 60 percent by 2020. The added value of industrial enterprises with annual revenue over 20 million yuan is expected to 1.2 trillion yuan, and the added value of service sector will account for 45 percent of GDP by the end of the 13th Five-year Plan period.
Shaanxi proposed a strategy at a provincial level called "Innovation to strengthen the province". The province will concentrate on a batch of core-technology projects including such sectors as Green mining and utilization of coal, gas and oil, new energy and turboprop regional aircraft, and promote the transformation of science and technology projects like intelligent manufacture, superconducting material and biological breeding.
The provincial government will cultivate several industrial clusters and mainly support eight industries including energy and chemical, high-end equipment, aviation, electronic information, new material, food and medicine, modern logistics and services and green fruit.
