To push forward the Belt and Road Initiative, analyzing interests of relevant parties is very important, said Fang Jin, deputy secretary-general of China Development Research Foundation. First of all, it is unnecessary to elude China's interests, and in the mean time, interests of the other countries along the Belt and Road should be emphasized, Fang said.

Most of the countries in the area are under developed and emerging economies, and they have strong will for economic development and infrastructure construction, so benefits for these countries brought by the initiative are obvious. Fang pointed out that, in addition to the interests of governments in relevant counties, interests of companies, organizations and ordinary people should also be analyzed and let them become real supporters and participants.

Moreover, Fang suggested that China should also strengthen communications with people, think tanks and media in the countries that are not directly related to the Belt and Road Initiative and build the most extensive and inclusive community of interests.
