China's regional governments finalize local B R implementation plans

China's provincial governments have all finalized their local implementation plans related to the Belt and Road initiative, the Securities Daily reported quoting the National Development and Reform Commission.

According to the plans, a batch of key projects will be put under construction in sectors such as infrastructure, industrial investment, economic and trade cooperation, energy and resource cooperation, financial cooperation, social and cultural cooperation, ecological environment and maritime cooperation.

In infrastructure construction, Fujian is promoting the construction of the Xiamen southeast international shipping center, and Chongqing, Sichuan, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Henan, Hubei and Zhejiang will add train services to Europe.

In industrial investment, Liaoning is to promote advanced rail transit construction, and Hubei and Gansu encourage local leading firms to build overseas producing and processing bases.

Meanwhile Guangdong, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Qinghai, Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia will expand cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road through expo platforms like Canton Fair and Western China International Fair.

Jiangsu has started construction of the Tar Coal Industrial Park, a priority project in Sino Pakistan Economic Corridor Energy Plan, and Tianjin is also promoting an iron mining project in Mongolia, oil-gas acquisition projects in Kazakhstan and agricultural cooperation projects in Indonesia.
