China's bus maker Anhui Ankai Automobile Co., Ltd. (000868.SZ) plans to include military product business into its strategic planning and boost the development of new energy vehicle (NEV) business.
The company sold 5,668 buses in the first eight months of this year, which is higher than the average level of China's bus making industry.
The company says it has been ranking in the top among Chinese bus makers by pure electric bus sales since the beginning of 2015, and it forecasts the NEV market will become larger due to improvement of NEV policies, environment and costs. It predicts the NEV market will boom from the end of this year to 2016.
