The US-based AGCO (AGCO.NYSE), the world's third largest agricultural machinery producer, announced Friday that its new production base in eastern city of Changzhou had been put into operation.
The new production base, covering a total area of nearly 200,000 square meters, mainly produces low and medium-powered tractors, generators and transmissions. It boasts annual production capacity of 20,000 tractors, 30,000 generators as well as 40,000 units of rear axle and transmissions. In 2014, AGCO generated 9.7 billion U.S. dollars of net sales revenues.
