Volkswagen cheating scandal affects 1,900 vehicles in China

China's Ministry of Environment Protection has launched a probe into Volkswagen's emission scandal and found more than 1,900 imported vehicles affected in the Chinese market, reported China Environment News.

The auto giant is facing accusations that it installed software on millions of diesel cars worldwide to cheat emissions tests and evade limits on nitrogen oxide and other pollutants. The scandal involved 11 million diesel cars around the world.
