China United Network Communications Limited (China Unicom, 600050.SH) announced on Thursday evening that its net profit attributable to the parent company decreased 23.13 percent year on year and reached 2.69 billion yuan in the first three quarters of 2015.
China Unicom is a subsidiary of China's telecom giant China United network Communications Group Company Limited and a related party of the overseas listed company China Unicom Ltd. (CHU.NYSE; 00762.HK).
In the first nine months, the company's operating revenue declined 3.34 percent year on year to 211.91 billion yuan, in which 179.75 billion yuan were contributed by its main business, down 5.57 percent year on year.
Out of the main business revenue, the part contributed by mobile business went down 9.73 percent year on year to 109.52 billion yuan, and that by fixed-line business was 69.2 billion yuan, up 1.48 percent year on year.
