German multinational conglomerate company Siemens signed an agreement with the local government of Jiangmen City in south China's Guangdong Province on Monday to cooperate on development of intercity rail equipment, reported local media Jiangmen Daily.
As agreed, Siemens will localize production of its advanced intercity rail equipment in Jiangmen and cooperate with Beijing Zongheng Electro-Mechanical Technology Development Co. and Guangdong Provincial Railway Construction Investment Group in multiple fields including providing solutions to development of intelligent transport and low-carbon cities.
