Asian top refiner Sinopec Corp. (SNP.NYSE; 00386.HK; 600028.SH) recently put a 150-km product oil pipeline into operation in south China's Guangdong province, said a release by the company on Thursday.
Running from Jieyang to Meizhou, the pipeline is part of phase-II product oil pipeline project in Pearl River delta. With total length of 345 km and annual handling capacity of 2.35 million tonnes, the phase-II project starts from Huizhou city and runs through Shanwei, Jieyang, Shantou and Meizhou.
Operation of the phase-II pipeline project would secure product oil supply in east Guangdong and improve Sinopec's competitiveness in local market.
