China's largest airline firm by fleet size China Southern Airlines (ZNH.NYSE; 01055.HK; 600029.SH) announced that it would buy 10 Airbus A330-300 aircrafts from Airbus.
According to China Southern Airlines, the aggregate catalogue price of the 10 Airbus A330-300 aircraft is 2.27 billion US dollars. Such catalogue price includes price for airframe and engine. The actual payment for the aircraft will be lower than the catalogue price because of certain price concessions granted by Airbus.
The new aircraft will be delivered in batches from 2017 to 2019. The airline firm expects the new planes to increase its capacity by some 4 percent.
