JD's revenue up 28.7 pct in Q3

BEIJING, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- China's e-commerce giant JD.com saw a 28.7 percent year-on-year rise in net revenue in the third quarter of this year, according to JD.com's financial report released Friday.

The net revenue of JD.com from July to September reached 134.8 billion yuan (about 19.2 billion U.S. dollars).

Non-GAAP net income from continuing operations attributable to ordinary shareholders for the third quarter was 3.1 billion yuan, up 160.6 percent year on year.

The NASDAQ-listed online retailer said its annual active customer accounts in the past 12 months as of September 30 grew to 334.4 million, with 13 million new customer accounts in the third quarter.

JD.com had more than 200,000 employees as of September 30, 2019, 25,000 more than the same period last year.
