In April, FAW-Volkswagen sold 165,714 vehicles, a month-on-month surge of 41 percent and a year-on-year growth of 9.9 percent. Sales under the Volkswagen, Audi and Jetta brands reached 96,318 units, 55,888 units and 13,508 units, increasing by 42.5 percent, 38 percent and 45.2 percent month on month respectively.
FAW-Volkswagen is a passenger car joint venture between China FAW Group Co., Ltd. and Volkswagen AG. As one of the best-selling passenger vehicle manufacturers in the world's largest auto market, it has set a sales target of 2.33 million units for 2020.
