Alphabet reports Q4 revenue with 13 pct growth

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- Alphabet Inc., Google's parent company, on Tuesday reported its 2023 fourth-quarter revenues at 86.31 U.S. billion dollars, up 13 percent from the same period of 2022.

Among the entire quarterly revenue, a total of 76.31 billion dollars came from Google Services total including YouTube advertising, according to the company's financial report.

The quarterly report also showed that Google Cloud sales grew to 9.20 billion dollars from 7.32 billion dollars in the same period of 2022.

The company generated about 307.39 billion dollars in revenue during the fiscal year, representing a growth of 9 percent. Its yearly net income was 73.80 billion dollars, up from 59.97 billion dollars in 2022.

"We are pleased with the ongoing strength in Search and the growing contribution from YouTube and Cloud. Each of these is already benefiting from our AI investments and innovation. As we enter the Gemini era, the best is yet to come," said Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet and Google.
