Chinese companies made 221 cross-border merger and acquisition (M A) transactions in the first nine months of 2015, with the transaction value totaling 70.72 billion US dollars, according to a report released by law firm Baker McKezie.
In the same year-earlier period, Chinese companies completed 149 cross-border M A transactions, involving a total of 44.8 billion dollars. In the first three quarters of 2015, foreign companies made 194 cross-border M A transactions on the Chinese market, involving 29.44 billion dollars. The two figures for the year-earlier period were 191 and 62.18 billion dollars, respectively.
