The construction of the Guangdong park, a piloting cooperation area of the Guangdong-Guangxi-Guizhou high-speed railway economic belt, was officially launched on Tuesday.
That marks the start of exploration on developing high-speed railway economy in south China. The park shoulders the tasks of realizing industry transfer and win-win development of Guangdong province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guizhou province and exploring for a new development mode for China's promising high-speed railway economy.
Experts hold that Guangdong, Guangxi and Guizhou's cooperation in industry, resources, capital and talent areas will embrace a "high-speed railway speed" in the future.
As the first piloting cooperation area of China's high-speed railway economic belts, the park also carries the task of paving the way for the development of China's high-speed economic belt.
High-speed railway has become a main artery promoting China's regional economic development with total operational mileage exceeding 16,000 kilometers, over half of world's total.
