Shenzhen formally issues regulation on subsidizing NEV development

Shenzhen's government has formally issued a regulation on the management of supporting funds for new energy vehicle (NEV) popularization and application, according to the local development and reform commission on Thursday.

The supporting funds will be used to subsidize not only the purchasing and using of NEVs but also the construction of charging facilities, the recycling of NEV power batteries and other relevant projects approved by the government.

According to the regulation, Shenzhen sets the subsidies to pure electric bus buyers at between 300,000 yuan and 500,000 yuan for each car, that to pure electric passenger car buyers at between 35,000 yuan and 60,000 yuan for each car, that to fuel-cell commercial car buyers at 500,000 yuan for each car, that to fuel-cell passenger car buyers at 200,000 yuan for each car, that to pure electric passenger car users at between 10,000 yuan and 20,000 yuan, that to charging facility builders at 30 percent of the investment in integrated charging facilities.
