A new-version of strategy for boosting development in northeast China might have been in shape, reported People's Daily citing a local official Friday.
Currently, northeast China is stuck in a development dilemma featuring subsiding economic growth, needs of economic structural reform, aftermath of past failed stimulus policies and regional troubles such as unreasonable industry structure.
However, some positive clues could also be detected such as the burgeoning emerging industries including tourism and biological pharmacy, modern services industries including logistics, finance, and information and growing business starting and innovation by the general public.
Meanwhile, equipment manufacturers of northeast China, used to be the heavy-industry cradle of China, are also speeding up transformation.
What northeast China needed desperately was to carry out at a faster pace the new-version of boost-the-northeast strategy of the country so as to revitalize regional development, the above-mentioned official noted.
