Southwest China's Guizhou Province is accelerating the logistics channel construction, building smart logistics information platforms and working with Guangdong and Hong Kong to help logistics enterprises go global, according to the Department of Commerce of Guizhou Province.
The province has rolled out a series of favorable policies this year so far to reduce the logistics cost. For instance, freight cars carrying the province's electronic toll collection (ETC) cards can enjoy a 5 percent discount on highway tolls.
For the freight cars with monthly highway tolls reaching 3,000 yuan, 5,000 yuan and 10,000 yuan, they can enjoy a 6 percent, 8 percent and 10 percent discount next month, respectively, by means of online rebates.
To reduce operating costs of the logistics enterprises is aimed at accelerating modern transformation of those enterprises and building a logistics information platform, said Huang Zhujun, chief economist of the Department, adding that Guizhou is quickening the pace for the "Belt and Road" construction and the logistics enterprises have to play a leading role in the "going global" and they must carry out technical transformation and better integrate themselves into the international market.
Meanwhile, thanks to the Internet, the logistics efficiency has enhanced significantly. The 56qq.com launched by an enterprise in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, releases more than 5 million messages about freight source for its 1.5 million driver members each day, which has greatly reduced the unloaded ratio.
In addition, Guizhou also cooperates with Guangdong and Hong Kong to take advantage of their matured logistics network to integrate logistics information about railway, highway, water way, aviation and express mail service and storage industries and help its logistics enterprises go global, said the Department.
